"Jews are just like everyone else - only more so."?

I used a snatch of this clip in another posting.

Then, I wondered whether anyone could find anywhere in our allegedly non-racist west, where people could openly carry on like this? Now, as then, the answer is no.

On occasions I've wondered if we don't all harbour some kinds of racist, xenophobic feelings (the trick is to know it and deal with them), so perhaps this clip lends credence to Chaim Weizmann's "Jews are just like everyone else - only more so."

  1. Fact: Racism in Israel is rampant. You don't have to be a black Jew to be discriminated against. Dark skinned Oriental Jews experience discrimination from white Jews. In fact racism is not limited to people of any particular race, colour or creed.

  2. There seems to be no difference between the Nazi mentality that held that Jews were inferior and had to be kicked out of Germany. The Jews learned their lessons well.
