Did I get it wrong?

Did I get it wrong when I posted this and called such protests "both silly and very ugly"?

If Mick Napier is right in what he says in the opening minutes (1' 07"), then it puts the whole thing in a new light.

I've also been told that in fact ALL funding of the arts by the Israeli government is subject to "Brand Israel" conditions and that Israeli are artists are well aware of this when they accept funding.


Is this true? Does anybody know?

(Mind you, I still think it's ugly)
